Hello everyone,
How are you doing? It’s December already! It’s snowing heavily in my new home in Omachi, Nagano and I’m looking forward to a white Christmas. Growing up in England, there wasn’t much snow and there were few white Christmases. Whenever there was a little snow, there would be chaos on the roads and the schools would close because the country wasn’t used to dealing with snow. I remember on rare snowy days, going up to the nearby Malvern Hills with my friends and sledging. It was lots of fun. After we finished and were cold and wet, we sat in the hillside cafe by the fireplace and drank hot chocolate. It’s a great memory. Have you even been sledging?
2017 has gone fast. This will be my last month working here and there is a lot to look forward too. The Christmas party is next week and over 70 students are coming! We have lots of ideas to make a great party for that record number of students. Santa Claus is coming today for a planning meeting. We put up Christmas decorations yesterday. The school looks great with all of the trees and Christmas colours- green, red, white and gold – around and a reindeer has decided to live in my room!

みなさん、こんにちは。ご機嫌いかがですか。もう１２月ですね。私の妻の実家である長野県大町は、すでに雪がすごいです。今年のクリスマスはホワイトクリスマスになってくれるといいな。母国のイングランドでは、それほど雪はふりませんが、まれにホワイトクリスマスになります。少しでも雪がふると、道路は大混乱になり、学校は休校になります。昔は、雪がふると近くのMalvernの丘に友達と行って、雪滑りをしたのを覚えています。滑り終わると濡れて寒くて、暖炉のあるカフェにいってホットチョコレートを飲んでいました。今でも楽しい思い出です。皆さんは雪滑りをしたことがありますか
２０１７年ももう終わりです。私にとって今月がHARIOで過ごす最後の月ですが、最後の３週間が楽しみでもあります。クリスマスパーテイが来週にせまってきました。７０人以上の生徒の皆さんに申込をいただきました。皆さんに楽しんでもらうための企画がいっぱいです。サンタさんもその日は来てくれるようです。昨日は、HARIOがクリスマスのデコレーションになりました。クリスマスツリーや、クリスマスカラーでいっぱいのHARIOはとてもきれいですよ。となかいは自身で私の部屋にいることを選んだようで、ずっと近くにいます（写真参照）。
