Hello everyone!

Another week of staying home but staying safe! I hope everyone is doing their best to limit contact with others, remember your health and the health of many other people is the most important thing of all. I know it may feel boring to be inside but see it as an opportunity to try something new or get better and something. For example, many students tell me there is one school subject that they don’t like at all, science!

Science, for a lot of students, is a difficult subject. There are SO many things to learn because science covers everything. Physics is all about the way the universe moves, Chemistry is about change and Biology is about life. When I was young there was a TV program called Bill Nye the Science Guy who would always have cool experiments, here’s an episode about GERMS.

It was a great show that made science fun and interesting! After watching it I got into Space and physics and really enjoyed studying about the planets, stars and far away galaxies. I even got to see the Kennedy Centre in Florida where the space shuttles leave from! Now, I still read science blogs and watch science programs like Kurzgesagt

みなさん、こんにちは。マットです。

元気でお過ごしですか。コロナ感染防止のため、皆さんが人との接触を減らす努力をしていると思います。1番大事なことは、自分自身を守ること、そして周りの人の健康も守ることです。家の中で過ごすのは退屈に感じるかもしれませんが、こういう時だからころ新しいことにチャレンジしてみてください。例えば、生徒の多くが嫌いと言っている「サイエンス（理科）」を勉強するとか

サイエンスは、皆が難しいと感じる教科です。サイエンスは分野が広いので習うことがいっぱいあります。物理、科学、生物学・・・私が子供の頃、Bil　Nyeのサイエンスガイという番組がありました。この番組では彼（ビル）が面白い実験をします。これが遺伝子についてのある回の映像です→GERMS.　（YouTube）

この番組はとても面白かったです。この番組をみた後に、私は宇宙や物理に興味をもち、それらを勉強することが楽しくなりました。もっと好きになって、フロリダのケネディー宇宙センターにも行ったぐらいです。大人になった今でもサイエンスに関するブログや番組をみます。たとえばこんな番組　→Kurzgesagt
