Hey, I hope everyone had a great winter vacation. 

During the winter vacation I went travelling around Asia. I went to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Taiwan. I had to do a lot of travelling and take many flights but it was still very enjoyable. 

The first place I visited was Singapore. I was only in Singapore for a few days but I had a nice time and I was able to visit many interesting places. On my first day in Singapore I went to Universal Studios. Compared to Universal Studios in Japan and America, the Singapore version was very small. You could walk around the whole of the park in under an hour, but compared to the other two parks the waiting time is lot a shorter. My favourite ride was the main roller coaster in the park. Whilst I was in Singapore I also visited the Bay Gardens. As it was Christmas time when I visited the Gardens were packed full of Christmas events and there were lights all over. On my second day in Singapore I stayed at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. I have always wanted to stay at this hotel, so Christmas seemed like a good time to do it. The hotel itself is gigantic, there is a lot of things you can do in the hotel. Such as going shopping, watching a play, visiting the art gallery, gambaling and also swimming in the infinite pool on the deck. 

After Singapore, I flew to Kuala Lumpur for a few days. In Kuala Lumpur I visited places such as KL Tower, Petronas Towers, Chinatown and Batu Caves. Kuala Lumpur is also in Malayasia but compared to Singapore it is very different, however I still had a great time. I had visited Kuala Lumpur before on connecting flights but this was my first time to fully explore Kuala Lumpur. I really enjoyed visiting Petronas Towers, as they are an iconic symbol of Kuala Lumpur. Chinatown was also nice as you could find some cheap souveniers, and the food is really delicious. My favourite part in Chinatown was the small side street which has been decorated with wall art. Supringsly not many people know of the location so it was perfect for taking pictures. In Kuala Lumpur I also watched the countdown in KLCC park. The park was very crowded as many people had come to watch the countdown and the firework display.  

For two days I decided to leave the big cities and fly to an island for a more relaxed pace. Langkawi is a small island in Malayasia and has a dozen great beaches. The island itself has very relaxed atmosphere with people spending the majority of their time on the beach. In Langkawi I didnt really do anything exciting, I just went swimming in the ocean and relaxed on the beach. However as I was leaving the Langkawi my plane had to make an emergency landing and we were forced to evacuate from the plane. This was my first time having to evacuate from a plane and hopefully it will be my last. 

Overall my winter vacation was nice and relaxing. How about you ? what did you do during winter vacation ?

お正月休みはいかがでしたか。楽しめましたか。

私は冬休みの間は、シンガポール、クアラルンプール、ランカウイ島、台湾とアジアの国々に旅行していました。たくさんの移動がありあしたが、それでも素晴らしい充実した旅行になりました。

最初はシンガポールに数日滞在しました。短かったですが、いろんな場所に行きました。ユニバーサルスタジオにも行きました。

日本やアメリカの比べるととても小さいです。全体を1時間以内で歩くことができるくらいです。でも、すいているので並ぶ時間が日本やアメリカと比べると圧倒的に短いです。私はジェットコースターが一番気に入りました。ベイガーデンにも行きました。クリスマスの時期だったので、クリスマスのイベントをやっていてパーク全体がイルミネーションに包まれていました。シンガポール2日目は、マリーナベイホテルに宿泊しました。このホテルには前から泊まってみたいと思っていました。ホテルは非常に素晴らしかったです。ホテルでいろんなことができます。買い物、劇の鑑賞、美術館、カジノ、ホテル屋上のプールなどなど。

シンガポールから、マレーシアのクアラルンプールへ。

KLタワー、ペトロナスタワー、チャイナタウン、バツー洞窟などなど。クアラルンプールはマレーシアですが、シンガポールとはまったく違くてとても面白かったです。クアラルンプールを旅行するのは初めてでした。ペトロナスタワーは、クアラルンプールのシンボルの建物です。チャイナタウンでは、安くショッピングや食事が楽しめます。チャイナタウンの人通りの少ない通りには、アートが描かれていていました。あまり知られていないのか、人がいないのでいい写真がとれました。KLCCパークというところで、カウントダウンのイベントが行われていました。すごい人でした。カウントダウンとともに花火が打ち上がりました。

都会のクアラルンプールから、リラックスするために島に飛びました。ランカウイ島です。

ランカウイはマレーシアにある小さな島で、美しいビーチがたくさんあります。

バケーションには最高の場所です。特に何かしたわけではないですが、海で泳いだり、ビーチでくつろいだりして過ごしました。

ランカウイから発つ飛行機では、飛行機が緊急着陸をし、避難するというアクシデントにあいました。沢山飛行機で旅行をしていますが、緊急着陸は初めてです。これが最後であることを願います。

全体的に、有意義でリラックスできた冬休みでした。みなさんはどうですか。どこかへ行きましたか。
