Hello everyone,

Happy Halloween! It’s officially Halloween today, but we have been enjoying it all week since last Wednesday with our special Hario Halloween classes. They have been going really well and our students are really enjoying themselves. I’ve seen so many great costumes and there is still one more day of spooky costumes to look forward to. We have activities, songs and games where the students can learn more about Halloween while using English. It’s so funny to see little monsters, princesses, pirates, vampires and witches having fun and speaking English! 

 

The students also really like our staff costumes here. I hope we aren’t too scary. I won’t reveal what our costumes are yet, you will have to come and see for yourself. We have a scary haunted house here. Actually it’s a haunted third floor, but you get the idea! Watch out for the spiders and cobwebs as you make your way inside. People say that they have seen ghosts and other scary monsters in there so be careful.

 

It’s almost November, and I hope it’s drier than the very wet October we had! We had two typhoons and a lot of rain over the past few weeks. Our mini-speech contest classes take place throughout November, starting from next week. All of the students who have learned a speech will stand up in front of the parents and give their best performance. I know they’ll do a great job and make their parents, classmates and teachers proud. Give it your best shot!

ハッピーハロウィーン！！

今日はハロウィンですね。ＨＡＲＩＯでは、先週の水曜日からハロウィンウィークのパーティを行っています。生徒達もとてもよろこんでいます。たくさんの面白いコスチューム、おばけーなコスチュームを見てきましたが。あと一日、今日が残っていますので、楽しみにしています。パーティの中では生徒の皆さんがよりハロウィンの事が学べるようなアクティビティ、ゲーム、ストーリー（怖ーい話）を用意しています。モンスターやプリンセス、バンパイヤーや魔女に扮した生徒達が英語を使って、楽しんでいる姿はとても微笑ましく思います。

 

そして生徒達は、我々スタッフのコスチュームも気に入っているようです。私が何に仮装しているのかは、まだ言いません。今日見て、たしかめて下さい。また、ハロウィンウィーク中は、３階が怖ーいお化け屋敷になっています。中にいるたくさんクモやクモの巣に気を付けて。このお化け屋敷にお化けやモンスターが現れたとか・・・・ですから気を付けてくださいね。

 

もう１１月です。ムシムシする日も終わりですね。ここ数週間で２つの台風がありました。

来月からは、ミニスピーチコンテストが始まります。スピーチホームワークを終了したすべてのＰＬＳの生徒の皆さんは、保護者の方の前で３カ月の間練習したスピーチを保護者の皆さんの前で披露します。

いつも私達に見せるようなすばらしいスピーチを保護者の方の前でも披露してくれることでしょう。そして皆を感動させてくれることでしょう。
