End of Halloween

Hello everyone,

How are you? It’s November already. Doesn’t time fly! Last week we had a special week of Halloween classes for the elementary school age students and younger. It was the first time we’d tried this and I really enjoyed playing Halloween English games and having a special Halloween lesson. It was a great chance for the students to experience a little of Halloween traditions and also to mix with students from other classes. The 3rd floor looked really spooky turned into a haunted house for the week. Our students were enthusiastic and joined in well with all the games and activities. We had a Halloween song, a skeleton hunt, pin the tail on the black game, Halloween bingo, a scary ghost story and more. Next year, I’m sure we can learn from this year and make something even better. Pictures will be up soon in the usual places. Please check them out.

みなさん、ご機嫌いかがですか。もう１１月ですね。早いものですね。

先週からハリオでは小学生と幼児クラスの生徒の皆さんを対象に、ハロウィンウィークと称してハロウィンのパーティを行いました。このようにパーティを行うのは今年が初めての試みでしたが、とても楽しいパーティになりました。仮装をするだけでなく、ハロウィンの伝統的行事として学べるよい機会であったと思います。

この一週間は、ＨＡＲＩＯの三階は、不気味な雰囲気のお化け屋敷に変身しました。生徒達はアクティﾋﾞﾃｲやゲームに元気いっぱい参加していました。ハロウィンの歌、スケルトンハント、ネコの尻尾ゲーム、ハロウィンビンゴ、ハロウィンの怖い話などなど。内容が満載でした。

来年は、今年を生かしてより充実したハロウィンパーティを企画していきたいと思います。ハロウィンの写真は後日掲示及びサイトにアップいたします。
