So for those of you who like sports, you may have known that the Super Bowl was on this week. The Super Bowl is a major sporting event in the United States and has also gained popularity around the world. This years Super Bowl saw the San Francisco 49ers go up against the Kansas City Chiefs. Suprisingly te Kansas City Chiefs won and were crowned champions. This was their first Super Bowl victory since Super Bowl IV and also their first NFL championship since the AFL-NFL merger. The MVP award was given to the Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

スポーツが好きな方はご存じかもしれませんが、今週はスーパーボウル（NFLの決勝戦）がありました。

スーパーボウルはアメリカはでは非常に人気のある大会で、世界中のたくさんのスポーツファンにも人気が広がっています。

今年は、サンフランシスコの４９ersとカンザスシティのチーフスが対戦しました。そしてカンザスチーフスが30年ぶりに優勝をしました。MVPにはチーフスのクオーターバック、パトリック・マホームズが選ばれました。

Although many people watch the Super Bowl for the sport, many people nowadays watch the Super Bowl for the half time shows and the special Super Bowl commercials. This years Super Bowl half time show was co-headlined by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. As I mentioned a lot of people watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. This year the some of te commercials were good and others were not so good. The cost for a 30 second slot on the Super Bowl will cost you $5.6 million, which for a short window is a lot of money. This year the commericals featured celebrity appearances from singers such as Post Malone, directors such as Martin Scorses, Tik-Tok stars, actors like Brian Cranston and Bill Murray, as well companies like Google, Walmart and Coca-Cola. There was also many commercials advertising upcoming movies and tv shows in the year. There were commercials for the new Disney + streaming service, movies such as Mulan, Fast and Furious 9, Top Gun 2 and Black Widow. Overall a lot of people enjoyed the commercials and the half time show this year.

スーパーボールをスポーツととらえて見る大勢のファンもいるなかで、中にはこのスーパーボールのハーフタイムや、流れるコマーシャルを注目する人もたくさんいます。今年のハーフタイムは、ジェニファーロペスとシャキーラーによるもので話題を呼びました。流れるコマーシャルの部分では、いいのもあれば悪いものもありました。スーパーボールは視聴率がとても高いので、30秒で5億6千万と言われています。今年は有名人がでるコマーシャルが多くありました。全体的には視聴者は楽しめたと思います。
