Hello everyone,

How has your week been? I was struck with a throat virus and on Sunday night I had to go to the accident and emergency hospital because my temperature was 39.5 degrees. My fever was still high on Monday and I wasn’t able to work. I apologise to my students whose lessons were cancelled. I really wasn’t able to sit up in bed, let alone come to school and teach classes. Anyway, the drugs I was given have worked and I’m feeling a lot better. I think it’s very difficult to stop 100% of viruses from spreading, especially if you work in a school. We teach students from different schools and kindergartens all around Fuji and beyond and everyone comes into contact with hundreds of people at their school everyday. We take precautions here like having anti-bacterial hand-spray at the front desk. Because of my throat illness, I haven’t been able to drink coffee since Saturday. I can’t remember the last time I went 5 days without drinking coffee. Maybe I was in high school the last time. I want to be able to drink coffee again soon.

みなさん、こんにちは。
いかがお過ごしですか。
私は週末にひどい喉（喉にウィルスが入った）の痛みに襲われ、日曜日の夜にはそのせいで熱が３９．５度にもなり緊急病院へ行きました。月曜日になっても熱が下がらず、学校をお休みさせてもらいました。
月曜日の生徒の皆さん、授業をキャンセルして申し訳ありませんでした。
今は、病院でもらった薬が効き、熱も下がり回復しました。

流行しているウィルスから１００％身を守ることはとても難しいことです。特に、このような学校で働いているとそう思います。なぜなら、富士市の異なる学校の生徒や幼稚園の生徒さんを教え、接し、彼らもまた何百人という人々に学校で接します。HARIOでは、校内でのウィルス感染を防ぐために、フロントに除菌スプレーを設置しています。
まだ喉の痛みがとれないので、私は土曜日から大好きなコーヒーが飲めません。
５日もコーヒーを飲まなかったことはありません。たぶん、高校生以来です。
こんなにコーヒーから遠ざかっているのは。早くよくなって美味しいコーヒーを味わいたいです。
