Hello everyone,

Can you believe it’s October already. The year is flying by. It’s now the spookiest month of the year. I enjoy getting into the spirit of things every Halloween. At the end of the month, it’s time to dress up and scare everyone with costumes and decorations. Another thing people do in October to get into the Halloween mood is watch scary movies. Do you ever watch them? Or are they too scary for you to handle? I don’t watch them very often, but I have seen many of the classic horror movies such as Friday 13th and the Shining. If you ask people in Western cultures to name a Japanese movie, a horror movie would be one of the most popular answers. I think the Ghibli movies are the most well-known Japanese movies worldwide, but the horror movie “Ring” is also very famous all over the world. This Japanese movie was so popular abroad that they remade it in America. Even in Ireland, movies such as “Ring” and “Ju on” were big hits at the cinema. Horror stories seem to be very popular here in Japan. Every Halloween at Hario, I see students dressed up as well-known ghosts from old Japanese stories. I wonder how many we will see this year. Halloween week will begin on October 24th, so you have three weeks to prepare your costume! Who will have the most impressive costume this year? I’m really looking forward to Halloween this year!

もう10月なんて信じられますか早いですよね。

1年で一番不気味な月になりますが、私は毎年楽しんでいます

 

月末には、コスチュームやデコレーションで人々を驚かしますね！

ハロウィーンの楽しみと言えば、コスプレ以外にもホラー映画を見ることですよね！！

みなさんは見たことありますか？？それとも怖すぎて見るなんて難しすぎますかね？

 

私は13日の金曜日やシャイニングのような古典的なホラー映画をよく見ます。

西洋文化の人々に”日本の映画といえば”と質問をするとすれば、たいてい”ホラー映画”と答えるでしょうね。

それくらい有名です。

ジブリ映画が世界的にも一番有名だと思っていますが、たしかにホラー映画の”リング”なんかも世界的に広く知れ渡っていますよね

このリングですが、アメリカでリメイク版が作られたので、それもあって世界的に有名になったんですよね。

 

私の故郷のアイルランドでも、”リング”や”呪怨”は当時映画館で爆発的にヒットしました。

日本では、怖い話がとても人気ですよね。

 

毎年ハリオでは、子供たちが日本古くから伝わる”おばけ”のコスチュームで授業を受けてくれています。

今年はどんなおばけに出会えるか楽しみですね

 

10月24日（月）からハロウィーンウィークが始まりますまだ3週間あるので、準備するには十分ですね

誰が一番印象的なコスチュームで現れるのか楽しみでしかたありません
