How are you doing? It’s February and the start of the Hario English School Spring Campaign. If you’re a prospective new student or parent of one, I thought I’d introduce myself and explain a little about the school and the classes we offer.

 I’m Kevin. I’m an English teacher from the UK. I came to Japan 11 years ago and now it’s my home. I really enjoy living here in Fuji and the best part of my job is communicating in English with the students. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking, camping (we do an English every year by the way), travelling and watching movies.

 We are an English conversation school in Fuji City, (very near Apita). Our school is open Monday to Friday, from 12:30 until late and has ample parking. We teach English to kids from as young as 2 and a half all the way up to adult classes. We have several new classes open to beginners, whether they are in kindergarten, elementary school or junior high school or above. For experienced students, we will match them with the best fitting class for their level and needs. We teach conversation classes and grammar classes. Conversation classes are taught by native English speakers like me and focus of speaking, listening and commmunicative skills. Our elementary school classes follow the PLS System, a respected curriculum used across Japan, but we are the only providers in Fuji City. Lessons are fast paced and fun! Grammar classes are taught by Japanese teachers who spend more time focussing on grammar, reading and writing. Many of our students take the Eiken test and this school is a test centre.
