雨のお花見！

Hello everyone,

It’s been quite rainy this week. It’s a shame because the cherry blossom trees are blooming now, and the rain is making all of the petals fall off! I hope there are some left by the weekend. Otherwise, there wasn’t much time to enjoy Hanami this year. I went to Hiromi Park yesterday and while it was cloudy, there were beautiful trees in full bloom, so I got some nice photos. There is always a risk of wet weather due to the change of the seasons in April. My wedding five years ago was on March 31st, and we planned to walk through the shrine grounds under the cherry blossom trees. Unfortunately, it was raining cats and dogs! We had to drive up to the door of the shrine and run inside. It was a wonderful day, but there were no photos under the cherry blossom trees like we imagined.

みなさん、こんにちは。

今週は本当に雨の日が多いですね。今が桜の見ごろというのに雨が花びらを散らしてしまって残念です。私は昨日広見公園に行ってきました。お天気は曇りでしたが、満開の桜の木がきれいで、いい写真が撮れました。四月は季節の変わり目で、いつもぐずついたお天気になりがちです。５年前の３月３１日は私の結婚式でしたが、桜の木の下を神社まで歩いていく予定でした。が、残念ながら、当日は土砂降り！結局、神社の入口まで車で行って、中へ駆け込むことになりました。素晴らしい一日でしたが、想像していた桜の花の下での写真は無し、となりました。

It’s Easter this Sunday the 16th. Did you know the date for Easter is different every year? It’s a bit confusing, but it’s celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the equinox. So the date changes year by year. Here at Hario, we have an Easter themed game to play in our classes. I hope our students have fun trying to solve the puzzle by finding easter eggs around the classroom.

It’s Sachiyo’s birthday today. We celebrated with a little party this morning. We had delicious fruit pudding, tea and coffee. Happy birthday Sachiyo-san!

今週の日曜日、１６日はイースターです。イースターは毎年、日付がちがうのを知ってましたか。ちょっと紛らわしいのですが、春分の日の後の最初の満月の日が過ぎた最初の日曜日をお祝いするのです。だから毎年毎年、日付が変わります。ここ、ハリオでは、イースターにあやかったゲームをして遊びます。生徒たちが教室のあちこちに隠されたイースター・エッグを見つけて、パズルを解き、楽しんでもらえたらと思います。
