Hello everyone,

  How are you all today? It’s very cold today and Mt Fuji is covered with snow and looking beautiful. Did you enjoy Labor Thanksgiving Day on Wendesday? Did you do anything with your national holiday? I went to the Kenko Land onsen resort with the family. It was very nice and refreshing.

 

 Last Saturday, we had our annual speech contest and it was a great success. 40 of our students performed their speeches on the stage and the quality was really high. They all put a lot of hard work into their speeches and it was very hard to choose winners for each category. This year, Alan and I were two of the judges and it was interesting to fully concentrate on each of the speeches (I’m usually busy operating the computer or something). I was really impressed and everyone taking part should be proud of themselves. The younger students did great with their song and dance performance. Thank you and well done. They now all have experience of performing on a stage, which is a very good thing, I think. My junior high school student gave an impressive special speech about Food Science which won him a prize and the Fuji City Junior High School speech contest. I hope everyone enjoyed the show. We had lots of students who helped us on the day too. They were really great and did an excellent job. We’ll try to learn from all of these to give an even speech contest next year.

 Coming up are special winter grammar classes which students can sign up for and the next round of the Eiken test (the deadline is quite soon so don’t forget to apply). The Christmas party will happen next month too. Please buy a ticket if you’re interested. It’s always a fun event and places are filling fast.

みなさんこんにちは。

お元気ですか？とても寒くなり、富士山も雪化粧を始め、とても美しく見えます。水曜日は勤労感謝の日でお休みでしたが、何かしましたか？楽しめましたか？私は家族と健康ランドに行ってリフレッシュしてきました

 

先週土曜日はスピーチコンテストが行われ、大成功に終わりました。総勢40名の生徒が檀上でそれぞれのスピーチを披露し、どのスピーチも本当にレベルが高かったです。生徒の皆さんはたくさんの努力を積み重ねてくれました。その為、どのカテゴリーにおいても、入賞者を決定するのは非常に困難でした。今年はアランと私はジャッジとしてこのスピーチコンテストに参加していました。普段はコンピューターの操作など行っているので、皆さんのスピーチに集中することができたのはとても良かったと思います私は皆さんのスピーチに感動しましたし、参加された皆さんはその事を誇りに思ってほしいと思います。ありがとうございました。そして、よく頑張りました今回参加された生徒さんはステージに立つと言うことを経験しました。私はそれはとてもいいことだと考えています。今回、私の教えている生徒で、富士市のスピーチコンテストで入賞を果たした素晴らしいスピーチを、私たちのスピーチコンテストにて披露してくれたりもしました。会場にいらしてくれた皆さんが、楽しんで頂けたのなら嬉しく思いますまたコンテスト当日、私達のお手伝いをしてくれた生徒さんもいます。一生懸命手伝ってくれ、とても助かりました。ありがとうございます来年は更によいものになるよう、今年のコンテストから学びたいと思います。

 

次は冬期講習が控えています。次の英検に向けた練習やこれまでの基礎固めなどを行うことができます。（本日、金曜日が締切となりますので申し込みをお考えの方はお電話でもお伺いすることができます）また来月はクリスマスパーティーもあります。もしご興味があれば是非、チケットをご購入下さい。まだ募集人数に空はありますが、だんだん埋ってくると思います。
