Hello everyone,

It’s a beautiful day today. I hope you’re enjoying the lovely autumn weather. I was walking in Central Park this morning when I walked past some junior high school students practicing singing for some performance. There were a few Hario students and I said hello. They sounded good and I hope their performance goes well. The unexpected live music, the autumn leaves and the sunny weather was a nice way to wake up.

This weekend, many of our students will take Eiken interview tests. These are follow up tests for those students taking the 3rd grade and higher who have passed the initial paper test. I have been helping many students with mock interviews and the like. I’m sure you’ll all be fine. Just be positive, and remember the format of the test so you’re not surprised by what will happen. Good luck!

Halloween is now over but it was a fun week. There were many fantastic costumes. Thank you for the Halloween candy from some students too. I have a sweet tooth so I enjoyed those. I’ll tell you my costume now. It was Big Ben, the famous clock in London by the River Thames and the British Houses of Parliament. One of the walls of my classroom has a UK theme to it so I decided to put it there rather than throw it away. Last Saturday, I went to the Halloween party of Simon, who’s a local English teacher and a friend of the school. Simon has his own set of Halloween traditions and it was a lot of fun.

みなさんこんにちは。

今日は秋晴れの大変美しい日ですね。皆さん、この天気を楽しんで下さいね。私は今朝、中央公園を散歩していたら、中学生達が合唱の練習をしているのを見掛けました。その中には、HARIOの生徒さんもおり、ハローと声を掛けましたとても上手に歌えていたので、本番も上手くいくといいですね。そんな予期せぬ音楽ライブ、紅葉と秋晴れ。いい目覚ましになりました

今週末は多くの生徒さんが英検の2次試験を受けられます。3級以上の受験をし、筆記テストに合格した生徒さんは2次試験があります。私も面接の練習で何人かの生徒さんを見ましたが、皆さん大丈夫だと思います。積極的にそして練習で行ったことを忘れる事がなければ、どんな問題が来ても大丈夫です。頑張って

月曜日にはハロウィンが終わりましたが、とても楽しい時間となりました。素晴らしいコスチュームをいっぱい見る事ができました。そして私達にハロウィンのお菓子を配ってくれた生徒さん、ありがとうございました。私は甘いものが好きなので、それらのお菓子を美味しく頂きましたそして私のコスチューム、今皆さんにお教えしようと思います。私は今年、ビッグ・ベンになりました（下の写真）。そうテムズ川のすぐそばにあるあの有名な時計塔です。私の教室はイギリスに関係しているのでこの衣装も捨てずに、教室に飾ることにしました。先週の土曜日にはHARIOと親しい仲にある英会話教室の講師、サイモン先生のハロウィンパーティーに行ってきました。サイモン先生らしいユニークなハロウィンパーティで楽しむことができました。
