Typhoon Approaching 　台風接近中

Hello everyone,

I hope you weren’t affected by the typhoon that hit Japan today. Here in Fuji we had a lot of rain but thankfully I haven’t seen any flooding in the city so far. There were floods, however, in Hamamatsu and elsewhere around Shizuoka. Typhoons are common in Japan at this time of the year. The changing of the seasons brings unpredictable and severe weather at times. We have seen so much rain so far this month that it feels like the rainy season again! I hope it dries up after this typhoon passes and we can enjoy the nice Autumn weather.

Last Sunday, I visited Fuji Milkland Farm. The rain held off just long enough to have a walk around and see all the farm animals. We have similar visitor farms in Ireland, and Fuji Milkland is the same in many ways. It’s a nice day out in the countryside and the kids like to get up close to the animals.

Here at Hario last Friday we celebrated Yui’s birthday. We had a fun morning celebrating with party streamers and pudding. Happy birthday Yui!

まず今回日本を直撃した台風の影響が皆さんに無かったといいのですが大丈夫でしたかここ富士市では沢山の雨が降りましたが、今のところまだ洪水の被害は見ていません。しかし、浜松や静岡県内の各地では洪水があったようです毎年、この季節になると日本に台風がやってきます。そして季節の変わり目は予期せぬ悪天候をもたらします。今月に入り、雨季なのかと錯覚しそうなくらい雨が降っていますね。台風通過後は、からっとした天候になって秋晴れの天候を楽しみたいものです
