Family Rivalry　家族内で対立！？

Hello everyone,

This morning at 8am, Japan took on England in the semi-final of the Women’s World Cup. It was 1-1 at half time as each team scored with a penalty kick. in the 92nd minute it was still 1-1. Nadeshiko Japan attacked the English goal and an English player, Laura Bassett, tried to clear the ball but, unfortunately, scored an own goal. Japan won. It was a really tense game and both teams played really well. I feel sorry for the England team, and especially Bassett, who had a great tournament and made the semi-finals for the first. The England ladies team showed the men’s team how to perform in a tournament.

I’m British so I was supporting England and my wife is Japanese so she was supporting Japan. It was high tension. She was really delighted with the win as I was disappointed. Nevermind, I’ll support Nadeshiko Japan in the final against the USA. My brother now lives in the USA. So the final is another family rivalry. Who will win?

今朝8時、女子ワールドカップ準決勝が行われ日本代表とイングランド代表が対戦しました前半終了時には互いにPKを入れ、1-1でした。後半終了間近の92分でもまだ1-1でした。なでしこは最後の攻撃に出るとイングランド代表選手のオウンゴールを誘い、日本が勝利しましたとても緊迫した試合で両チームともいいプレーをしたと思います。私はイングランド代表を、特にオウンゴールをしてしまったバセット選手をかわいそうに思います。良くトーナメントを勝ち進み、準決勝に初めて進出しただけに彼女達は男子代表にトーナメントでの戦い方を示したと思います

私はイギリス人なのでイングランドを応援し、妻は日本人なので日本を応援しました。とても興奮した試合で、私が落ち込んでいるかたわら、彼女はすごく喜んでいましたでも心配しないでください。アメリカとの決勝は日本を応援します私の兄は現在アメリカに住んでいます。なので決勝戦はまた別の家族対立となりそうです。さてどちらが勝つでしょう
