The Hario Waiting Room　ハリオの待合室

Hello everyone,

How are you doing? It’s raining today but earlier this week was really nice and warm like spring. I’ve got a little hay fever. So have many students. How about you?

The camp is open for booking now. We’ve already got some reservations. It’ll be great. Please ask for more information if you’re interested. Also don’t forget the spring campaign is still underway and there are special 1 to 1 classes available (at a special price) during the spring vacation at the end of next Month.

The waiting room is always a fun and lively place. It’s a good place to talk to students and parents before and after classes. I can also talk to students who I don’t teach personally. You can practice real English conversation. You hear lots of news and gossip and meet little brothers and sisters. One of my young PLS students yesterday spent more than an hour after class in the waiting room colouring in, doing origami, talking to friends and basically hanging out. He was still there after my next class had finished. He spent more time in the waiting room than in the actual lesson! I’m glad people like being in the waiting room. If I see you in the Hario waiting room, say ‘Hi!’. Let’s talk in English!

みなさんこんにちは。
いかがお過ごしですか？今日は雨ですが、今週の始めは本当に暖かくて良い日でした。私は花粉症になってしまいました。生徒さんたちもつらそうです。みなさんは大丈夫ですか？

キャンプの申込みが始まりました。もう既に何名かの申込みを受け付けています。もしご興味があれば、フロントまでお願い致します。また、春の入会キャンペーンもまだまだ続きます。そして、3月末には外国人講師との１対１のレッスンが特別価格で受けられる、春の特別授業も行います。

さて、HARIOの待合室はいつも楽しく活気にあふれています。授業前や授業後に生徒さんや保護者の方々とお話ができる場所となっています。私が担当していない生徒さんたちともお話しする機会があります。そこでも本物の英会話を練習できます。生徒さんたちの近況を知ることができ、生徒さんたちの弟さんや妹さんにも会うことができます。昨日は私のPLSクラスの生徒さんが、ぬりえや折り紙、友達と話したりしながら、なんと一時間以上も待合で過ごしていました。次のクラスが終わって教室から出てきた時にまだそこで遊んでいましたので、実際のレッスン時間よりも長くそこにいたことになります！生徒さんたちはハリオで時間を過ごすのが好きなんですね、とても嬉しいです。もしHARIOの待合でお見かけしたら、是非「Hi」とはなしかけてください。英語を話しましょう！
