Our Spring Campaign has Begun 春のキャンペーンが始まりました

Hello everyone,

Are you having a good week. This week we started our new schedule and we are welcoming new trial students. It’s an exciting time of the year. Tuesday was Setsubun or Bean Throwing Day. The devil came along to my classroom. Fortunately, my students helped ward him off by throwing balls at him until he went (we didn’t use the traditional soy beans). Did you participate in any Setsubun activities? Did the devil try to enter your house?

Today I’m teaching some new kindergarten students. I hope they enjoy the class. It’s always fun to teach young students. Their reactions are very pure. Sometimes they are shy or nervous. Others are jumping with excitement. I’ll try to make sure everyone has a fun time learning English. At that age, children’s brains are like sponges. They are very curious and pick up new information very quickly. Being curious is a very good thing. It makes you open minded and receptive to new ideas. You learn new skills and gain new experiences by being curious. I think it’s important as you get older to stay curious.

みなさん、こんにちは、
良い一週間を過ごされていますか？今週からハリオでは新しいクラスがスタートし、新しい生徒さんたちが体験レッスンに来てくれています。一年の中でも一番わくわくする時期です。火曜日は節分で豆まきの日でしたね。私のクラスにも鬼がやってきました!幸運にも生徒たちがボールを投げて鬼を退治してくれました!!（伝統的な豆は使いませんでした…）みなさんは節分に何か行事を行いましたか？鬼は家に来ましたか？

今日は何人かの新しい幼稚園児の子供たちのクラスを教える予定です。みんなにクラスを楽しんでもらえれば、と考えています。学年の小さい生徒さんたちを教えることはいつもとても楽しいです。リアクションがとても純粋です。時々、恥ずかしがりやさんや緊張している生徒さんもいます。また、興奮してジャンプしてしまう生徒さんもいます。来てくれた皆さん全員がたのしく英語を学ぶことができるようにしていきたいです。この年齢の生徒さんたちの脳は「スポンジ」のようです。とても好奇心旺盛で、新しい情報をとても素早く吸収してしまいます。好奇心旺盛だということはとても良いことです。新しいスキルや経験をすぐに自分のものにできます。年齢を重ねていっても好奇心を持つということは大事なことかもしれませんね。
