Hello everyone,

At Hario English School this week our Spring Campaign is already underway. We are welcoming any students who are interested to come and observe our classes free of charge. New students, and especially younger children, are often nervous coming to class for the first time. It`s normal for anyone to be nervous when trying something new for the first time. That usually changes after the class. Students come away from our lessons having had fun, played games, made new friends, gained confidence and accomplished speaking in a new language. When they enjoy the class so much, they are happy to come back every week.
Last weekend I paid a visit to the 27th Fuji International Fair 2015 at Fuji San Messe. It was a chance to experience various cultures of all the different countries represented there. There was delicious food on sale from many different countries. I`m always happy to try something new there. I recommend the Dutch “Ollie bollen”, a type of fried pastry with fruit. There were also traditional dance performances. We saw Japanese and Hawaiian dances among others. As a foreigner living here, it`s fantastic to see how multicultural Fuji is becoming. It`s a really fun day out for all the family.

みなさん、こんにちは。
HARIOでは、今週より「春の入会キャンペーン」が始まりました。
キャンペーン中は最大で４回体験レッスンをできます。沢山の参加者に会えるのを楽しみにしています。一番最初の体験レッスンでは、特に小さい年令の生徒さんは、緊張しています。
新しいことを試すときには、誰でも緊張しますよね。でも、クラスが始まると、徐々にその緊張もとれていきます。クラスやゲーム、お友達を楽しみ、自信をつけていき、新しい言語を話せるようになります。楽しんだ彼らは、次の週もまたＨＡＲＩＯに戻ってきます。

ところで先週、富士山メッセで行われた国際交流フェアに行ってきました。
世界中の国々のことを知り、経験できる私の好きなイベントです。
このイベントで新しい発見をするのを楽しみにしているんです。
今回発見したおすすめは、オランダの「Ollie bollen」で、果物を揚げたお菓子のようなものです。伝統舞踊のパフォーマンスもよかったです。日本とハワイアンのダンスなどがありました。富士市在住の外国人の私としては、どれだけここ富士市が多文化の町であるかをこのイベントで知ることができ、とてもよかったと思いました。

家族皆で、楽しい一日をすごせました。。
