Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoyed the long weekend. On Sunday I had a great day out in Mishima. We went to the “Babyfest”, a festival for all baby related things. I`ve never seen so many parents and babies in all my life! The festival had stalls selling baby products such as toys, bottles, clothes and, as you can see in the photo, frog masks. There was also great food on offer for the parents and kids. After the festival we went to Izunokuni, south from Mishima. Izunokuni`s big attraction is a cable car ride up to the top of Mount Katsuragi. I had never ridden in a cable car before and they don`t look very securely attached to the thin metal rope so I was a little nervous. It didn`t help that the car sways from side to side from the wind. The view, however, is well worth any fears you might have. We saw some hawks hovering over the forest on the mountainside, it was amazing to see them up close in flight. At the top of Mount Katsuragi you can see for many kilometers in every direction. There are great views of Izu and Mishima in the distance. I strongly recommend you try it if you`ve never been there!

みなさん、こんにちは。

皆さん、よい日をお過ごしですか。

先週の日曜日は、三島に出かけました。「Babyfest」という赤ちゃんに関係するお祭りです。

あんなにたくさんの赤ちゃんとその両親をみたことがありません。というぐらい、たくさんの人でにぎわっていました。そのお祭りでは、例えば、赤ちゃんのおもちゃとか哺乳瓶、服などが売られていました。

（なぜかカエルのマスクをして写っているのがそうです）

たくさんの食べ物もありました。

その後は、伊豆の国市へいきました。葛城山の頂上までケーブルカーで行けます。

私にとって初めてのケーブルカーでした。でも細い金属ロープにつるされたケーブルカーは、初めて私には安全そうには見えず、

乗るのが少し怖かったです。また風でケーブルカーはぐらぐら揺れました。

それでもケーブルカーからの景色はその恐怖に耐えるだけのものがありました。

空を飛ぶ、タカを近くで見ることもできました。葛城山からは、東西南北の方向を何キロにわたって見渡すことができました。とても素晴らしい景色だったので、皆さんに強くおすすめします。

行く価値ありですよ。
