Well rested 　リラックスした夏休み

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a good rest last week during obon. I really enjoyed the time off and relaxed at home. I didn`t travel anywhere last week, being a new parent is a job in itself. There`s a lot to do when you have a new arrival at home. My wife does most of the work when I`m working here. So during the holiday I got to share the workload taking care of our daughter. You can see from the photo that I also got to try some delicious new food at a barbeque last Saturday. Yakiniku is one of my favorites!

This week at Hario we are giving out the CDs for the younger students` song and dance performance in the speech contest. There are four songs altogether, which the students can listen to at home and practice for the big day in November. We have started rehearsing some of the songs here this week and they really like the songs we have chosen. I got the opportunity to write the choreography to one of the songs myself. I`ve never done anything like that before so I hope it works out!

みなさんこんにちは。

お盆の週は良く休めましたか？私はどこへも行かず、家でお父さんとしての仕事をして過ごしました。赤ちゃんの誕生で、やることがたくさんです。私が仕事をしているときは、妻がほとんどの家事育児をやってくれるので、休みの間は私も娘のお世話をしました。

そして先週の土曜日にはBBQをし、初めての食べ物に挑戦しました。「焼肉」がほんとにおいしかったです。

今週HARIO では、スピーチコンテストでの幼児クラスとPLS10級の生徒さんたちによる歌とダンスのCDを配布しています。全部で４つの歌がはいっており、生徒さんたちが11月まで家で練習できるようにというものです。いくつかの曲についてはすでにクラスで練習が始まっており、生徒さんたちも曲をとても気に入ったようです。私自身が曲の振り付けを考えたものもあります。今までそのようなことはやったことがなかったのですが、うまくいくといいです。
