After the success of the speech contest last week we now look forward to the next event at Hario English　School.　We　are　already　making　plans　for　our　Christmas　party　next　month.　Hopefully　many of our students can make it there. There is a rumor that Santa might make an appearance this year if he isn`t too busy preparing for Christmas. So all the kids should show up for the fun and games.

With all this cold weather we have been having it really feels like winter now. We are having similar temperatures to Ireland at the moment. The main difference between Ireland and Japan in winter is that Ireland is darker and cloudier. It gets dark at 4pm at the height of winter in Ireland, and there is usually a lot of cloud in the sky making it even darker. Japan is nice and sunny for most of the winter, which puts me in a better mood. With December coming, my first year in Japan is almost over. I will be visiting Ireland for Christmas and the new year, it doesn`t seem like that long ago I left Ireland to travel here. I can`t believe it’s been a year already! I can`t wait to see my friends and family again, I talk to them on skype most weeks, but it just isn’t the same.

大成功に終わったスピーチコンテストを先週に終え、次のHARIOイングリッシュスクールのイベントを楽しみにしているところです。それは来月にある「クリスマスパーティ」です。

沢山の生徒の皆さんに参加してほしいです。

 

サンタさんがクリスマスの準備に忙しくなければ、パーティに来てくれるという噂ですので

皆さん、パーティに参加して一緒に楽しみましょう。

あっという間に寒さを感じ、冬を感じる季節ですね。今は、アイルランドもこのぐらいの気温です。

アイルランドと日本の冬の大きな違いは、アイルランドの冬は暗くて曇っていることです。

４時には日が落ち、常に雲が空を覆っていてさらに暗く感じます。

日本の冬は、ほとんど晴れて、なんだか心が明るくなります。

 

もうすぐ１２月です。私の日本での最初の１年が終わろうとしています。

私は冬休みに、アイルランドに１年ぶりに帰る予定です。もう１年がたったことが信じられません。

友人や家族に会える日が楽しみです。スカイプでは話はしていますが、直接会うのとはまた喜びが違いますね。
