Hello everyone,

I hope you’re keeping warm in the cold weather this week. It’s the coldest time of the year now. I like to stay warm under our kotatsu at home, but my legs aren’t used to sitting flat on the floor. In Ireland all of our couches and chairs are raised off the ground. We stay warm because of central heating in all Irish homes. In Japan, the kotatsu is more common. After sitting under it for some time my legs go to sleep, and I have to move them around to get the feeling back. It feels like lying in bed, so it’s easy to fall asleep!

In just under two weeks the Hario Spring Campaign will get under way! Starting in February, you can come and try four free trial lessons with us. Parents can come and watch the first and last lesson to see the progress their child id making. I’m already looking forward to meeting our new students and their families. They will see that coming to Hario is more than just learning English. They will make new friends, learn classroom etiquette, learn about international culture, take part in events, and begin their future path to getting English certificates and achievements. All of these elements combined with a fun classroom atmosphere make the Hario experience. Individual care is an important part of being a student here. We do our best to bring out the best in every student. We have kindergarten classes for young newcomers and the famous PLS system from the third grade of kindergarten through to the 6th grade of elementary school. We also have conversation classes and grammar classes for junior high and high school students. We cater to any student’s future goals in English, if for example you wish to travel abroad, or you want to pass exams. We’ll be there to help you achieve what you want. So come on over and see for yourself.

みなさん、寒い日が続いていますが暖かくしていますか。この時期が一番寒いので、私は家でこたつの中に入っているのが好きです。ただ、平らな床に足を伸ばして座ることはすきではありませんが。アイルランドでは、ソファーまたは椅子にすわります。アイルランドの家はセントラルヒーテイングなので暖かいです。日本では、こたつが多く使われています。こたつに入って足を伸ばしていると、だいたい私の足はしびれてしまいます。そうすると、ベットに横になりたくなって、すぐに眠くなります。
