Hello everyone,

 

Last weekend in Fuji there was a Plum Festival celebration at Iwamoto Mountain Park. Last year we had attempted to go to this festival but unfortunately we arrived a little bit late to enjoy the full event. But not this year!

 

Not only did we prepare well but we had a full picnic ready with friends and their families. Delicious food, good conversation and playing with the young children. Even learning some English and Japanese!

 

One of the highlights of the event is the mochi toss! Children and adults are divided into groups to attempt to catch as many mocha as possible. This year I wa sonly able to catch one but next year we’ll do better! More importantly, the young children with us got many so it was a successful day.

みなさん、こんにちは。マットです。

先週末は、岩本山の梅まつりに行ってきました。去年もこのお祭りに行きましたが、行くのが遅かったため梅を満喫はできませんでした。

今年は、友人とその家族らと一緒ピクニックセットをもって出かけました。

おいしいごはんを食べながら、子供たちと遊んだり、英語や日本語を学びあいました。

このお祭りのメインイベントは餅投げでした。私は１つしかとることができませんでしたが、来年はもっと取りたいです。

子供たちが大人よりもたくさんの餅をとってよかったです。

皆さんは、梅祭りに行ったことがありますか。
