Hello everyone,

It’s Halloween week! We are holding parties to celebrate every day this week. So come along and join the spooky fun. We have already had lots of fun at the Monday and Tuesday parties. I’m really impressed by the costumes that our students have been wearing. We have had many witches, as well as pirates, ninjas, cats, zombies, vampires, and many more weird and wonderful costumes. We have lots of fun in store at our Halloween party, songs, games, crafts and if you say “trick or treat” you might even get some candy! The phrase came about many years ago when people would go from door to door in their neighborhood to collect food for a halloween party. They asked for a treat, and if you didn’t give them one, they would play a trick on you. So it’s a good idea to give out treats when you hear the phrase “trick or treat!”

Only four days to go until the Hario Speech Contest 2019. We’re very busy preparing for the big day at Rose Theater. It’s going to be a very special day for our students. They are going to take to the stage and perform for the chance to win a ticket to Disneyland. I’m really proud of all of the work they put in to their speeches. They deserve the applause and any prizes that they might win. I’m also proud of our younger students for learning the songs to perform on stage. I think everyone, young and old, will enjoy the well known songs. Good luck to all of you next Sunday. See you at Rose!

みなさん、こんにちは。

今週はハロウィンウィークですので、今週一週間、HARIOではハロウィンパーティをおこなっています。皆さん、楽しんでくださいね。すでに月曜日と火曜日のパーティは終わりました。今年も生徒の皆さんの仮装のすごさにおどろいています。たくさんの魔女がいますね。海賊、忍者、猫、ゾンビ、吸血鬼、その他すばらしいコスチュームの数々。パーティは、歌やゲーム、クラフトで盛り上がっています。トリックオアトリートと言うと、お菓子がもらえるかもしれませんよ。このフレーズは昔の人々がハロウィンパーティで食べ物を近所の人から集めるために、家々をまわった時に使ったフレーズです。ごちそうをくれないと、いつかいたずらしちゃうぞという意味です。

そして２０１９スピーチコンテストまであと数日となりました。HARIOは準備に大忙しです。間違いなく、出場する皆さんにとって特別な日になることでしょう。ディズニーランドのチケット獲得を目指して、ステージにたちます。出場する生徒達のこれまでの努力をたいへん誇りに思います。全員が優勝に値する、全員がたくさんの拍手をあびるに値するスピーチです。そして、PLS１０級＆９級、幼児クラスの生徒達による歌もあります。彼らの上達も褒めたいです。そして日曜日の本番、がんばりましょう。ロゼシアターでお会いしましょう。
