Time to Begin Learning your Speech!

Hello everyone,

Is summer here to stay? Since the rainy season took a pause and the weather became hot and sunny, I was wondering when we would return to wet and cloudy weather. However, the mid-summer like weather seems to have stayed around, so I’m wondering will we have any more rainy season this year, or has it gone for good so very early?

Here at Hario, the parent’s days are well underway. I’m enjoying showing our parent’s the progress their kids have made in the past few months. We’ve had some impressed reactions so far, so well done to the students for giving it their best in the class. I know it can be a bit distracting and nerve-wracking for kids to perform when their parents are watching, but they’ve been doing a great job so far.

This week, the wait is over! We are finally handing out the speech homework. All of our speech students are getting their speech homework pack over the next few days. It’s an exciting time for our first-timers, who don’t know what to expect. Our veterans who have done it all before, are interested to see how well they can perform this time. I’ve been asking the students what their speech is about, however, it was written back in April or May, so some of them have forgotten what they wrote about. When they see the speech title, it all comes back to them and they know what they will be talking about. Good luck to all of you! The road to your perfect speech starts here.

この真夏のような天気はこれからも続くのでしょうか

梅雨が一旦休み、天気が暑くて晴れた日が続いていると、再び雨が降る曇り空の日が来るのかなと気になっていました。

しかし、真夏のような天気が定着しているようで、今年はもう梅雨が終わってしまったのか、それとも早々に去ってしまったのか気になりますね

ハリオでは、保護者参観日が絶賛開催中です

お子さんたちがここ数ヶ月でどれだけ成長したかをお見せするのは嬉しいことです。

これまでのところ、保護者の皆さんから嬉しい声をいただいており、生徒達が授業で一生懸命取り組んでいることが素晴らしい結果につながっています。親御さんが見ている中でのパフォーマンスは、少し気が散ったり緊張したりすることもあるでしょうが、生徒達はとても頑張っていますね。

今週、待ちに待った瞬間がやってきましたいよいよスピーチホームワークが始まります。

スピーチの対象クラスでは、来週の月曜日までにこのホームワークが配布されます。初めて挑戦する生徒達にとっては、何が出てくるのかまだ想像できないワクワクする時期です。一方、過去に経験したことがあるベテラン生徒は、今回どれだけ上手くできるか楽しみにしている様子です。生徒にスピーチの内容について質問していると、「4月や5月に書いたから忘れてしまった！」なんてこともありますが、タイトルを見ると記憶が蘇り、自分が話す内容をすぐに思い出せるようです。
