The last days leading up to the Speech Contest

Hello everyone,

There are only three days to go until the Hario Speech Contest 2023, which takes place this Thursday! It promises to be an amazing event, with many excellent performances. There are three categories for the speeches, rising stars, stars, and legends, over 40 speeches in total. There will also be lots of singing and dancing from our younger students in the 10th rank activity. I’m already excited to see how everything goes on the day! It takes place in Rose Theater, which is Fuji’s most renowned venue. I have been to Rose many times, both as a staff member for speech contests, and also as a parent to watch my child perform. I have seen my daughter’s kindergarten recitals and piano concerts there. I know how it feels to have a child performing at a big event. There are a lot of nerves leading up to the big day. Plenty of practice needs to be done at home. There is so much work done in the months leading up to a performance, and it is all over after just one more time on stage. I think that makes it all the more nerve-wracking. The fact that there is only one chance to showcase your performance on the stage. Plus the fact that you have to do it in front of hundreds of strangers. It’s a scary prospect for a young child. So, good luck to all of our students who are coming to perform at the speech contest this Thursday. Break a leg! Don’t worry, “break a leg” just means “good luck” on the stage.

みなさん、こんにちは、

今週木曜日に開催される「ハリオスピーチコンテスト2023」まで、あと3日となりました

多くの素晴らしいパフォーマンスで、素晴らしいイベントになることをお約束します

スピーチには、ライジングスター、スター、レジェンドの3つのカテゴリーがあり、全部で40以上のスピーチがあります

また、10級の子達は、歌やダンスを披露します。私は、すでにワクワクしています

会場は富士で最も有名なローズシアター。私はスピーチコンテストのスタッフとして、また我が子の演技を見るために、何度もローズを訪れています。娘の幼稚園の発表会やピアノのコンサートもそこで見ました。

だから子供が大きなイベントで演奏する気持ちはよくわかるつもりです。

本番までは緊張の連続です　家でもたくさんの練習が必要です。本番までの数ヶ月の間にたくさん練習し、たった一度ステージに立っただけですべてが終わってしまう。だから余計に緊張するのだと思います。舞台で自分の演技を披露するチャンスは一度しかない。しかも、何百人もの見知らぬ人たちの前でやらなければならない。幼い子供にとってはとても緊張することでしょう。
