The Hario Spring Campaign

Hello everyone,

It’s almost February already, the final month of winter. I’m looking forward to the warmer weather come spring. February also marks the beginning of our spring campaign. From Feb 4th, you can come and attend four free trial lessons with us. Our student’s parents can watch the 1st and 4th lesson to see how much their child’s English can improve in just a short time with us. Coming to Hario, our students learn more than just English. They also learn classroom etiquette, social skills, speaking up in class, giving opinions, and they make friends too. The classroom activities are so much fun, they often forget that they are even learning. I’m looking forward to meeting and welcoming all of our newest students next month.

Japan had a good week in tennis. Naomi Osaka won the Australian Open and became the first Japanese person to ever become tennis world number 1. Well done to her. I think Kei Nishikori might make it to number 1 someday, if Federer, Nadal and Djokovich ever slow down! Tennis is very popular in Ireland. Many people play regularly and I was in my school tennis club for a while. Ireland has never produced any good international players, however. I wonder why. I’ll keep looking out for Irish players in the coming years. My daughter wants to start playing. She’s only 4 now, but she can start tennis lessons in April. I look forward to playing tennis with her.

みなさんこんにちは、アランです。

あっという間に２月ですね。冬の終わりです。春になって暖かくなるのが楽しみです。

２月はHARIOのキャンペーンの始まりでもあります。２月４日からどなたでも無料のお試しレッスンを受けることができます。保護者の皆さんは第一回目と第４回目のレッスンを参観していただき、短期間のうちにどれくらい子供たちの英語が上達するか見て頂くことができます。HARIOにきて生徒たちが学ぶことは英語だけではありません。クラス内でのエチケットや、礼儀、クラスでの発言、自分の意見を言うことも学び、そして友達も作ります。クラスでのアクティビティはとても楽しく、勉強しているということさえ忘れてしまいます。

来月新しい生徒たちがやってくるのを楽しみにしています。

日本はテニスでよい知らせがありました。大坂なおみ選手がオーストラリアのオープン戦で日本人選手初のワールドカップ世界一位になりました。よく頑張りました。錦織圭選手もいつか１位になるかもしれません。もしフェデラー、ナダル、ジョコビッチが衰えなければですが。

アイルランドではテニスがとても有名です。多くの人が通常やっていて、私も少しの間学校のテニス部に入っていました。しかしアイルランドは今まで国際的に上手な選手を輩出していません。どうしてなのでしょう。今後のアイルランド選手に注目したいと思います。私の娘はテニスを始めたがっています。彼女はまだたったの４歳です。しかし４月からテニス教室に通い始めます。娘と一緒にテニスをするのが楽しみです。
