Hello everyone,

  How are you doing at the moment? We got the results of the Eiken paper tests on Monday. The results can be found by following a link on our Facebook page. Congratulations to those students who passed, including some who were surprised to pass. The next step, the interview stage is coming up soon and we are preparing students for that. If you didn’t pass this time, keep trying hard and you’ll eventually do it!

 

みなさん、こんにちは。

ご機嫌いかがですか。

月曜日には先日行われた英検の結果が発表となりました。結果はこのブログでお知らせしています。合格した皆さん、おめでとう。３級以上の級では次に面接がひかえています。今回合格できなかった生徒の皆さんもあきらめず次回チャレンジしてください。

 

 Last weekend, there was an international rugby match in Ecopa Arena in Shizuoka. Ireland played Japan. I went with Alan and his family and we supported Ireland. I’m from the UK but my mother is Irish so I support them too. We sat near some other Irish fans.  There weren’t many, the stadium was mostly red and white, Japan’s colours, with two pockets of green for Ireland. We talked to the other Ireland fans a little. I got some stick for supporting Ireland. A man said to me I shoudn’t be supporting Ireland but my mother is welcome to. He was joking, of course. Irish people are famous for their sense of humour. It was a great day and a great atmosphere. Both teamsplayed well at times but Ireland came out winners 50 – 22. I know 2some Hario students also went to see the game. I’m looking forward to talking to them this week about the game.

 

先週末は、アランや彼の家族と、エコパアリーナ―に日本対アイルランドのラグビー試合の観戦にいきました。我々は全員、アイルランドチームの応援でした。私はイギリス人ですが、私の母はアイルランドの出身なのです。少しいたアイルランドサポーターたちの近くにすわり我々も応援しました。会場はほとんど赤と白を身に着けた日本人サポータたちでした。応援していた他のアイルランド人のファンたちと話をする機会もありました。アイルランド人はユーモアがあっておもしろいです。当日は天気がよくて、会場の雰囲気も最高でした。日本チームもアイルランドチームも健闘しました。結果は、５０－２２でアイルランドチームが勝ちました。私の知っている限りで、２人のＨＡＲＩＯ生もこの試合を見に来ていたようです。今週、クラスの来た時に話すのが楽しみです。

 

 

The Rugby World Cup will be held in Japan in 2019, two year’s time. Ecopa will be one of the venues so there will be lots of opportunity to see the games. Rugby has a lot of rules and it can be confusing to watch at first. However, if you spend a little time to learn the rules, it’s really interesting. Japan beat South Africa in the last World Cup. It was one of the famous upsets of recent world sport and an amazing game. Let’s hope there are more games like that in the World Cup. Did you see the game? Do you follow rugby?

ラグビーのワールドカップが２０１９年に日本で開催されます。このエコパも会場として使われるので、生でその試合をみれるチャンスがあります。ラグビーにはたくさんのルールがあり、最初は混乱するかもしれません。しかし、すこしなれるとルールがわかり、とても面白いスポーツだと気づくと思います。前回のワールドカップで、日本は南アフリカをたおしました。最近の試合では一番衝撃をうけ、感動した試合でした。そのようなゲームが２０１９年にも起きるといいですね。皆さんは、この試合を見ましたか。ラグビーを見るのはすきですか。
