Hello everyone,

Thanks to everyone who came to our Christmas party last Sunday. We had a fantastic day, I hope you all had fun. Santa enjoyed meeting you all. We also celebrated Taka’s Birthday today with a party. We all brought some food to share and had a delicious lunch. Happy Birthday Taka!

This is my last blog of the year before our winter holiday. What are your plans for the New Year? I’m going to spend this vacation here in Japan. I’m going to Gotemba to do some shopping at the outlet mall, before visiting the illumination there in the evening. It’s a magical place! I’m also going to visit the Animal Kingdom in Izu. I’ve heard that you can hand feed some of the animals there. My daughter likes animals but she is usually too scared to feed them. Let’s see if she has the courage to do it this time. I’m looking forward to seeing the capybaras, giraffes and tigers.

Every New Near, my wife’s brother and sister come to stay. They live in Yokohama, and return here to their parent’s home for the holiday. We will spend New Year’s Eve and Day together as a family. They like to watch the famous university marathon relay event on TV. My wife’s uncle took part in that race many years ago, so they are all interested in it. During the countdown to the New Year we watch a live music show on TV. They have many j-pop singers performing all of the biggest hits of the year. At midnight on New Year’s Day my wife’s family light incense at a shrine in our house to commemorate dead family members and ring in the New Year. We usually wait one or two days before visiting a shrine because they get so crowded! Last year we went to Sengen shrine in Fujinomiya on January 2nd and it was surprisingly not busy. We didn’t have to wait long to throw money and pray for a happy year. I hope for another great year in 2017. Happy New Year everyone!

まずは先週日曜日に行われたクリスマスパーティーにご参加頂いた生徒さん、ありがとうございました。とても楽しい1日となったと思いますし、皆さん自身も楽しんでくれたのであれば嬉しく思いますサンタさんも皆さんに会えて凄く嬉しかったと言ってくれました

今日は1年お疲れ様でしたの会とTAKAのバースデーをしました。スタッフ個々でランチを持ち寄り、おいしい昼食をみんなで食べました。ハッピーバースデー、TAKA。

今日のブログが私の今年最後のブログとなります。お正月休みの計画は何かありますか

私はというと、今年は日本で過ごします。御殿場のアウトレットモールに行き、夜にはイルミネーションを見に行く予定です。とてもわくわくするような場所ですね。伊豆のアニマルキングダムにも行く予定です。聞いた話では直接動物にエサをあげる事ができるらしいです。わたしの娘は動物が好きですが、エサをあげるとなるといつも怖がってできません今回はどうでしょうか？アニマルキングダムではカピバラ、キリン、トラを見るのが楽しみです

毎年お正月には、私の妻の兄妹が泊まりにやってきます。彼らは横浜に住んでいますが、休み帰省するのです。大晦日、お正月と家族として一緒に過ごします。彼らは大学駅伝を見るのが大好きです。妻の叔父が昔、その大会に参加したことがある為、興味があるようなのです新年に向けたカウントダウンでは、歌番組を見る予定です多くのJポップ歌手が今年のヒットソングを歌います。正月の真夜中には、ご先祖様をしのび、線香をあげます。お正月のお寺参りはいつも2,3日経ってから行くようにしています。とても込み合っていますからね昨年は富士宮の浅間神社へ1月2日に行きましたが、驚くほどすいていました。お賽銭をするにも全然待つ必要がありませんでした
