Hello everyone,How’s your week? Last weekend my wife and I visited a place called ‘虹の郷’ or Rainbow Village in Izu. It’s a kind of theme park with a British themed village, a Canadian themed village and a Japanese village. In between is a beautiful park with lots of different flowers, plants and trees. The autumn colours were just beginning to show and it was a beautiful view. The park was nice and it was quite interesting to see what Japanese people’s image of a British village is like. There were old fashioned buildings, a red double-decker bus and the British flag made out of flowers. It’s not all of what you’d see if you visit the UK but those things are all there in the UK and it reminded me of home. It’s a reminder that people are interested in different countries and cultures and that’s one thing we try to teach here at Hario as well as the English language.
