How are you all doing? Last Friday was April 1st, April Fools’ Day. Traditionally, on this day, people make practical jokes and try to fool each other into believing something that isn’t true. One year, Burger King sold left-handed hamburgers. This year, Google added a Minions GIF to their send button. This annoyed people who had wanted to send serious business emails and unknowingly had a silly Minions graphic at the end. Google got lots of complaints and quickly removed this button. Last Friday, I arrived at work and there was a sign on Sachiyo’s door that read, ‘Do Not Enter’. I thought, “Aha, this is an April Fool! I wonder what she is going to do! Maybe jump out of the room in a costume when we aren’t expecting it!”. However, I was mistaken. She just wanted the room left alone because there were important documents in there. In the end, I was the April Fool because I thought it was an April Fool but it actually wasn’t.
Did you play any April Fools this year? Did you get fooled?
