The evenings are getting longer as February approaches. It’s been bitterly cold recently, so it still feels like winter, but spring is in the air. Why? Because the Hario spring campaign begins next week! I’m excited about welcoming new students into Hario. They get four free trial lessons, and will see what a fun experience learning English can be. Some of our existing students will also have some changes next week. Our 6th grade students will be starting Junior High School this year, so they will move on from the PLS system to our Junior High School classes. The classes are focused on building on the students communication skills that they have learned in PLS classes. There are many activities to build their speaking, listening and grammar skills. They will also have a textbook to support their vocabulary, reading and writing skills.
In addition to this, some of our PLS students will be changing teacher next week. I’m looking forward to teaching some of Kevin’s students and getting to know them better. There is a saying in English, “A change is as good as a rest”. It’s refreshing to have new students and new challenges to look forward to for the year. Roll on February!
