Hello everyone,

I hope you had a nice weekend. I went to Fuji-Q Highland in Fujiyoshida on Sunday. I had been there once before six years ago, and there were many new attractions to try this time. I queued for two hours to ride “Eejanaika”. It was the most extreme roller-coaster I have ever ridden! The chairs you sit in spin around while the coaster runs along the track at super high speeds. It holds the world record for the most times the coaster turns upside-down. In total you are flipped upside-down 14 times. It was too much for me and I felt really shaken and dizzy after. I didn’t learn my lesson, however, because I went on another extreme roller-coaster after that. “Takabisha” is a new roller coaster with the steepest drop in the world at 121 degrees. After that I took a break from the roller-coasters and went to “Thomas Land” with my daughter. She watches the show on TV, so was very happy to meet Thomas and friends. I was just fine on the baby attractions after all that!

I was saddened to see Ireland knocked out of the Rugby World Cup on Sunday. They can never seem to make it past the quarter finals. They made a good come back in the second half but Argentina finished strongly to get the win. All four of the semi-finalists are from the southern hemisphere, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, and South Africa. I hope Ireland have better luck next time in Japan.

みなさんこんにちは。

週末は楽しめましたか私は日曜日に富士吉田にある富士急ハイランドに行ってきました。6年前に一度行ったことがありましたが、それ以来だったので今回はたくさん乗ってみたいアトラクションがありました私は2時間かけて「ええじゃないか」の列に並びました。今までに乗ったジェットコースターの中で一番スリリングなものでした。超高速で動いている間、座っている椅子がくるくる回転するのですそしてアップダウンの回数が世界のジェットコースターの中でも一番多い事で世界記録になっています。最初から最後まで全部で14回もあるんです私には少しきつかったようで、乗った後、ものすごくフラフラしました。それでも懲りずに、「高飛車」という別のジェットコースターに挑戦しました。それは121度という世界一、急な降下がある新しいジェットコースターです。その後はジェットコースターはお休みして、「トーマスランド」に娘と一緒に乗ってきました娘はテレビでいつもトーマスを見ているので、トーマスやその仲間に会えて嬉しそうでした。その後、赤ちゃん用のアトラクションでも大丈夫になりました。

そして白熱していたラグビーワールドカップ。日曜日にアイルランドは試合がありましたが負けてしまいとても悲しくなりました。やはりアイルランドにとって準々決勝の壁は厚いようです後半、息を吹き返したように思いましたが、アルゼンチンが勝りました。これで準決勝の顔ぶれは4チームともすべて南半球のチーム（ニュージーランド、オーストラリア、アルゼンチン、南アフリカ）となりました。次回、日本で開催される時にはアイルランドがもっと強くなっていることを望んでいます
