Hello everyone,
How are you doing? The seasonal flu is still going around so please stay vigilant. Many students are taking the Eiken test this weekend. Good luck to you all!
Sachiyo wrote in her blog last week about the English Camp. If you read it, you’ll know that the campsite we used at Lake Tanuki is closed for all of 2015 while it’s being renovated. So, I’ve been looking for an alternative campsite. Last weekend I took a trip to a place called Hamaishi Outdoor Centre. It’s near to the top of Mt Hamaishi by Yui Fishing Village. It’s a great centre with good facilities. There are amazing views of Mt Fuji and the sea. Unfortunately, the road up the mountain is quite dangerous. It’s narrow (only room for one car), bumpy, windy and has lots of sheer drops with no barriers. I managed to get my car up there ok driving slowly. However, I wouldn’t want to ask dozens of Hario parents or a bus to drive up there. So, unfortunately that centre has to be a no. But I’m not giving up that easily. Yuka helped me by ringing around and there may be a suitable centre up at Asagiri Kogen. I’m going to check it out this weekend. So, while I can’t confirm anything yet, the English Camp could be coming back again this year.

いかがおすごしですか？インフルエンザがまだ流行っているようですので、注意してくださいね。今週末はたくさんの生徒さんたちが英検を受験します。みんな、がんばって!!
サチヨが先週のブログでイングリッシュキャンプのことを書いていました。お読みいただいた方はご存じのとおり、2015年は田貫湖のキャンプサイトは改装のため使用できないようです。ですので、他に良いキャンプ場はないか、今探しているところです。先週末、私は浜石野外センターというところへ行ってきました。由比町にある浜石岳の山頂に近いところにあります。良い設備があるすばらしい施設でした。富士山と海のすてきな景色を見ることもできました。しかし残念ながら浜石岳に上って行く道はすこし危険なようです。道が狭くでこぼこしており、通りにくいです。なんとかゆっくりと車で上っていきましたが、ハリオ生の保護者の方々にここを通ってもらうのは気が進みません。ですので、残念ながらこの野外センターは却下です。でも私はあきらめません！ユウカがお手伝いをしてくれ、朝霧高原に良さそうなキャンプセンターを見つけることができました。今週末、行ってみようと思います。まだ確信はできませんが、イングリッシュキャンプ、今年も行くことが出来るかもしれません！
