Hello everyone,

On Sunday Kevin and I attended a PLS seminar in Tokyo to have a look at the new revised PLS system. They have made many improvements on the existing system. The original foundations and methods of teaching remain the same, with most of the materials and activities that we already know. The biggest change is the new ranking system, which will see students progress through the ranks faster. There will be ten ranks in total instead of the seven of the old system. We also got to see some new activities and materials that cover all aspects of everyday English. We will be implementing the new system for February next year. In all, I think it`s a fantastic improvement to an already effective system and I believe the students will benefit greatly from this.
Here at Hario the preparations for the speech contest are coming along nicely. We went to La Hall yesterday to make sure everything is ready for the big day. So mark November 22nd on your calendar and join us!

みなさんこんにちは、

日曜日、私とケビンは、これから改定されるPLSシステムの研修会のため、東京のPLS本部へ行ってきました。PLSの基礎や教え方はそのままに、既存のシステムからさらに改良されていました。最も大きな変更点といえば、生徒達が
各級を今までより早くクリアできる新しいランクシステムです。現在のランクは７つの級がありますが、新しいシステムでは、全部で１０の級になります。
研修会では日常会話で使う英語をカバーした新しい教材やアクティビティも見ることができました。
この新しいシステムは来年、２月より実行する予定です。すべてにおいて、すばらしい改良であるので生徒さんの英語力のさらなる向上が期待されます。
