いかがお過ごしですか？多くの生徒さんたちがあと数日で学校が始まるようです。

新学期、頑張って、楽しんでね。

 

Recently, I found a Japanese bento box in my apartment. I forgot I had it. So I’ve been using it to make a Japanese style lunch the past few days. In the past, when I brought a packed lunch it wasn’t always very healthy. It was usually a lot of sandwiches or other bread, some crisps as well, and to try to be healthy sometimes a salad and maybe some fruit. This is a kind of typical packed lunch I had growing up. People now realise it’s not very healthy or condusive with good study; kid’s get a sugar rush and become antsy. Nonetheless, I turned out pretty healthy and never complained at the time. Anyway, this week I’ve been having a Japanese style bento lunch. My bento box has three compartments; one for soup, one for rice, and one for something else. Today my lunch is miso soup, rice with furikake, and grilled fish. I feel a little healthier from eating these lunches. I’ll see how long I can keep it up before I get the urge to eat crisps again. I’ve entered a 10km run in Nagaizumi at the beggining of November. With a healthier diet and training, maybe I can get a personal best. I’ll let you know.

最近、自宅のアパートで日本のお弁当箱を見つけました。それを持っていたということをすっかり忘れてしまっていました…最近はそれを使って、日本のお弁当を作っています。前にお弁当をもってきていた時は、そんなに健康的なものではなかったです。サンドウィッチやパン、スナックなどが多く、時々健康的にするために

サラダやフルーツを入れていました。これが私にとっては普通のお弁当です。

今はこのようなものは健康的ではなく、子どもにとっては糖分のとりすぎでそわそわしてしまい、良い学びにつながらないと考えられています。なので私はもっと健康的になるように、今週は日本風のお弁当を作ってきています

私のお弁当箱は3つの容器に分かれていて、一つはスープのため、もう一つはご飯のため、最後の一つはその他おかずのためのものです。今日の私のお弁当はお味噌汁とふりかけご飯と、焼き魚です。これらのお弁当を食べて、少し健康になった感じがします。いつまでこれを続けられるか、見ものです。

私は11月初めに長泉町である10キロマラソンに応募しました。健康的な食事とトレーニングで、自己新記録が出せると思います。結果をまたお知らせしますね。
