Hello everyone,

We have a fantasy world cup competition here at Hario English School. Entrants have guessed the winners of each group and knockout match. It`s a very closely fought battle for first place so far! Check out Kevin`s leaderboard in the reception to see who`s in the lead. There has been so many shock exits this year I don`t think anyone has a 100% record at this stage.

I feel like a recording artist this week. I`m busy recording my voice and making CDs, but don`t worry, I`m not singing! Kevin and I are working away at recording all of the speeches that our students have written. They will get a CD of our dictation to practice their pronunciation. If they work hard they might have a chance to perform at the speech contest later this year. It`s a few months away so they have plenty of time to practice. There are some interesting and funny speeches out there, I can`t wait to see the students put their personality into the performance. Good luck with your speeches!

みなさん、こんにちは。

HARIO では、ワールドカップのゲームをおこなっています。参加者は各グループマッチ、トーナメントの勝者を予想します。今のところ、一位との差はわずかです。待合にあるケビンが作成した表で、誰がリードしているのか、見てみてください。今年は衝撃的な敗退がたくさんあり、全問正解の記録はなさそうです。

今週私は、自分の声を録音し、ＣＤを作成することに忙しく、レコーディングアーティストになったような気分です。でも心配しないでください、歌は歌いません(笑)ケビンと私は生徒たちが書いたスピーチの録音作業に取り組んでいます。生徒たちは私たちが音声を吹き込んだＣＤで発音の練習をします。一生懸命練習すれば、のちにあるスピーチコンテストで披露できるチャンスを得られるかもしれません。数か月あるので、練習する時間はたっぷりあります。興味深い、おもしろいスピーチもあるので、生徒たちの個性あふれるスピーチが待ちきれません。スピーチ、がんばって。
