What a weekend it was for the weather. We saw a bit of everything, from sun to thunder storms to hailstones. The drastic changes mean it`s getting warmer and summer is almost here. I went to Mishima on Saturday to see hanami at the Mishima Taisha shrine. It has a lake where the fallen cherry blossoms were floating. It was quite windy there, so you can see from the photo, there were a lot of petals already in the lake. It`s really beautiful there at this time of the year. Many people were having hanami parties, the tradition of eating and drinking under the blossoms, but people were leaving early on Saturday due to the weather getting cold and windy in the afternoon. Sunday morning was nice and sunny, so many people went to hanami parties in the parks around Fuji. Around 1pm out of nowhere a big thunderstorm appeared, followed by hailstones, so that put a dampener on things. Hopefully next weekend we`ll have less crazy weather. The cherry blossom lasts only around two weeks so we need to make the most of it while we can. I`ve noticed a few more signs of summer approaching, such as the return of insects and the humidity coming back to the air. I`m looking forward to a nice long summer in Fuji this year.

みなさん、こんにちは。

先週末はすごい天気でしたね。

ほぼすべての天気が一度に見れたのではないでしょうか。

晴～雷、あられまで。

急激な天気の変化は、暖かくなる前兆です。もうすぐ夏がくるのかもしれません。

私は土曜日に、三島大社へ花見にいってきました。

神社には池があって、桜の花びらが散って浮いていました。

すこし風も強かったせいもあります。

私がとった↑の写真をみると池に桜が浮いているのがわかります。

ともあれ、とても綺麗でした。桜の木の下で花見をしている人も多くいました。

でも天気が急激にかわり風がつよくなり寒くなってきて、花見を早く引き上げる人もいました。

日曜日は朝からとてもいい天気でした。

富士市の公園では花見をやっている人が多くいました。

午後１時ごろになると、大きな雷がなり、ひょうが降ってきました。

今週末はいい天気でいてくれることを願います。

花見のシーズンもあと２週間というところでしょうから、見逃さないようにしたいですね。

 

しかしもう夏の訪れを感じます。虫の音がきこえ、空気がじめじめし始めました。

今年も富士市で、長い夏を楽しみたいです。
