Hello and I hope you are all enjoying your week!

Recently, my son has become interested in Mini 4WD cars. These small cars aren’t as popular in the UK, and I had never heard of them until my son saw them at a toy store. It has been fun to learn about them and the hobby together.

We first went to a store and each picked out a car. My son chose the “Great Blastsonic.” He became interested in these cars because my wife told him she had one when she was a girl, and he wanted one that looked like hers. After a trip to the 100 yen store to pick up some tools, we started putting our cars together. This mostly involved me assembling the cars while my son directed me on what to do next. Once we finished and put the stickers on his car, he was very impressed.

最近、息子がミニ四駆に夢中になりました。イギリスではあまり一般的ではないので、息子がおもちゃ屋で見つけるまで私はそれらの存在を知りませんでした。一緒に趣味について学ぶのはとても楽しい経験です。

私たちは最初に店に行き、それぞれが車を選びました。息子は「グレートブラストソニック」という車を選びました。彼がこれらの車に興味を持ったのは、妻が小さい頃に持っていたという話を聞いたからで、妻のものに似ている車を欲しがっていました。100円ショップでいくつかの工具を手に入れた後、私たちは車の組み立てを始めました。これは、私が組み立てを行い、息子が次に何をするかを指示してくれるというものでした。完成してステッカーを貼り終えたら、彼は大変感動した様子でした

The next challenge was that he wanted to race his car. So, the next day, after another trip to the supermarket to pick up some cardboard boxes, I got to work making a track. It took another day to complete, but then we could run our cars around the track! Now, he is already looking at what parts he wants to buy to improve his car and make it go faster!

次に息子が挑戦したいと思ったのは、自分のミニ四駆をレースで走らせることでした。そのため、翌日、再びスーパーマーケットへ行き、ダンボール箱を何個か買ってきました。そして私はトラック作りに着手しました。完成までにはもう一日を要しましたが、それから私たちはトラック上で車を走らせることができるようになりました！今では、彼は自分の車を改良し、さらに速く走らせるためのパーツをどれにするか既に検討しています
