Hello everyone,

It’s here, Hario’s spring campaign 2025 is under way this week! Come on over for 4 free trial lessons with us. I can’t wait to meet all of our new students this year. I’ve been a teacher here at Hario for almost 12 years now! I have some students who were in kindergarten when I first began teaching them. They are now in high school (and one is much taller than me now), and still coming to Hario all those years later! It’s amazing to think that I taught these students the alphabet when they were little, and now they are taking classes for the Eiken pre-1st grade. There is a real sense of fulfilment in seeing their entire journey to mastering the English language from day one. That’s why I’m always interested in seeing what kind of new personalities we’ll meet in this campaign. If they want to become a fluent English speaker, I’m happy to help them get there.

I’ve been in Japan for 12 years now. Time really does fly by when you’re having fun. Sometimes I don’t notice how much things change over the years. When I think back to when I first came here, I didn’t know much about Japanese culture, food, or the language. Now, I think I’ve gotten used to most aspects of Japanese culture, although I’m still amazed by how many vending machines are everywhere! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know all of the delicious food available. I’m looking forward to another great year here. Happy year of the snake!

新しい生徒の皆さんにお会いするのが楽しみです。私はここハリオで12年間教師をしてきました！

初めて教えた生徒の中には、幼稚園生だった子供たちも今では高校生になっており（中には私より背が高くなっている子もいます）、まだハリオに通い続けてくれています。幼い頃にアルファベットを教えた子供たちが、今では英検準1級のクラスを受けていると思うと、本当に驚くばかりです。彼らの英語習得の旅路を初日からずっと見てこれたことに、とても充実感を感じます。だからこそ、このキャンペーンでどんな新しい個性に出会えるかいつも楽しみです。もし彼らが流暢な英語話者になりたいと思っているなら、全力でサポートします！

私は日本に来て12年になります。楽しい時間はあっという間に過ぎ去りますね。時々、年月の経過とともに変化していくものに気づかないこともあります。初めて日本に来たときのことを思い出すと、日本の文化や食べ物、言語についてほとんど知りませんでした。今ではほとんどの日本文化に慣れましたが、自動販売機が至る所にあることにはまだ驚かされますたくさんの美味しい食べ物を知ることができて本当に楽しかったです。今年も素晴らしい一年になることを楽しみにしています。
