Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoyed the nice, sunny weather last weekend. It`s really beginning to feel like summer again. Things will change again when the rainy season begins, and it gets really humid. Then, before you know it, we will hear the chirping of the cicadas to tell us the hottest time of the year is here. I heard that last weekend it was only 11 degrees in Ireland! That`s really cold for May, even in Ireland. I`m glad to be here in the warm weather, where we can enjoy days out in the park. Fuji has many great parks to enjoy on the days with good weather. My favorites include Yonenomiya, Iwamotoyama, Tagoura, Nishi and, of course, Chuo. The first time I went to Yonenomiya park was for my wedding in the shrine there 14 years ago. It was before I lived in Japan and I only came over for a trip. We planned to walk under the cherry blossom, but it rained so heavily that we had to run inside from the car. At least I was able to enjoy cherry blossoms for many years after that since then. On May 31st, we`ll spend some time having fun in a park in Shizuoka before we go to the zoo. What are your favorite things to do for fun in parks? Do you prefer to play or sit down and relax? Enjoy the rest of the nice weather!

先週末の晴れて気持ちの良い天気を楽しめましたか

だんだん夏らしくなってきましたね。梅雨に入るとまた天気が変わって、湿度が高くなります。

そして気がつけば、セミの鳴き声が聞こえてきて、一年で一番暑い季節の到来を知らせてくれます。

 

先週末、アイルランドでは気温が11度しかなかったそうです。5月にしては、アイルランドでもかなり寒いですね

ここ日本の暖かい気候の中で、公園で過ごす日々を楽しめるのは本当にありがたいです

富士市には、天気の良い日に楽しめる素敵な公園がたくさんあります。私のお気に入りは、米之宮公園、岩本山公園、田子浦公園、西公園、そしてもちろん中央公園です。

米之宮公園に初めて行ったのは14年前、あの神社で結婚式を挙げたときでした

当時はまだ日本に住んでおらず、旅行で来ていました。本当は桜の下を歩く予定だったのですが、雨が強すぎて、車から走って建物の中に避難することになりました。それでも、その後何年も桜を楽しむことができたので良かったです。

 

5月31日には、動物園に行く前に静岡の公園で楽しい時間を過ごす予定です。みなさんは、公園ではどんなことをして楽しむのが好きですか遊ぶのが好きですか、それとも座ってゆっくり過ごすのが好きですか
