Hello everyone,

Happy New Year to all of you. We’ve been back a week now and it’s been nice to catch up with all the students and hear about their winter vacations. I spent the winter vacation in Nagano with my wife and her family. It was very cold up there but the mountains looked beautiful and I had a great time. We ended up having 4 Christmas cakes, so I ate a lot!

This year is the year of the bird. So I have a bird in my room. My sister in England sent over a nice Christmas present. It’s a pen of Queen Elizabeth that she got from Buckingham Palace. I think it’s very fuuny. Did you get any nice Christmas presents? What did you do over the winter vacation?

あけましておめでとうございます。お休みが明け、一週間が経過しましたが、皆さんに久しぶりに会えて、冬休みの間どんなことをしたのか聞いています。私は長野にある奥さんの実家で過ごしてきましたとても寒かったですが、山には雪が積もっており、とても綺麗でした。クリスマスケーキは最終的に4個になり、私はかなり多くの量を食べました

今年、2017年は酉年ですね。なのでそれにちなんで教室に新しいぬいぐるみを用意しましたそしてイギリスにいる私の姉からはクリスマスプレゼントが届きました。バッキンガム宮殿で買ったというエリザベス女王のペンです。おもしろいペンだと思いませんか？皆さんはクリスマスプレゼントをもらいましたか？冬休みはどんなことをしましたか？
