Happy Bastille Day to everyone in France! It’s the French Independence Day today. I’m following the Tour de France cycling at the moment. British cyclists are doing very well and today will be an exciting day with a mountain top finish.

 We have been having parents’ day classes in our PLS and kindergarten classes since last week. We have them twice a year, and it’s always nice to welcome parents into the classroom and show them what our students are learning right now. We give this warning every year, but some students react differently with their parents in the room and can be more nervous and quieter than usual. I hope parents can see the hard work all our students put in, our teaching methods and students having fun learning and communicating in English. In January, we handed out annual reports for the students for the first time. I think those reports, alongside watching a class, should help parents understand the progress students are making.

フランスの皆さん、独立記念日おめでとうございます。本日7月14日はフランス革命記念日です。私は今現在、ツール・ド・フランスにはまっています。イギリスの選手が活躍をしていて、本日は山を登るレースでとってもエキサイティングなレースになるでしょう

HARIOでは先週からPLSのクラスと幼児クラスで授業参観を行っています。この授業参観は年に2回あります。保護者の皆様に実際に教室に来て頂き、どんなことを学んでいるのか見て頂きたいです。
お家の方が教室にいるだけで生徒の皆さんはいつもより緊張し、口数が少なくなる子もいますが、

日々の生徒さんの頑張り、私達の教え方、英語で楽しく学ぶことやコミュニケーションをとることなど、を見て頂ければと思います

今年1月に生徒さん1人1人にレポートを差し上げました。そのレポートとクラスを同時に見ていただくことで、生徒さんの成長を見て頂けるにではないかと思います
