It’s cooling down a little now. As we get into the end of August, the hottest weather of the summer has passed. It’s still hot, but not boiling as it was at the start of the month. Soon, Autumn will be upon us, which is usually the most comfortable weather to be outside in. However, thunder storms are also quite common at this time. What’s your favorite season?

Students are back to school now. For most of our students, the summer vacation ended last Friday. They need to get back in to the routine after one month off. In Ireland, the summer vacation is two months long, which made it even more difficult to get back in to the school routine. I was so sleepy for the first week or so! I noticed my daughters’ bags were very heavy with all the stuff she needed to bring on the first day. They need more space to store things inside the school. All elementary school students carry two bags in the morning! It’s a lot to be carrying in the summer heat. I wonder if anything can be done about that. I remember when I was in secondary school (which is junior high and high school in one) we had no lockers, so I had to carry all of the books I needed every day. It was so heavy that I got bags that clipped onto the back of my bicycle, which saved my shoulders from falling off. Should all schools have lockers for the students? What do you think?

やっと涼しくなってきましたね

８月が終わりに近づくにつれて少しずつ夏の暑さがなくなってくる季節になりました。

まだ暑いですが、月初の猛暑に比べればだいぶましになったのではないでしょうか。

 

すぐに秋がやってきますね！ちょうどその頃には一年で一番過ごしやすい季節になります

が、同時に雷雨の季節でもありますよね💦

 

みなさんの一番のお気に入りの季節はいつですか？？

 

生徒たちは学校に戻る時期になりましたね。HARIO生のほとんどは先週の金曜日にはすでに学校が始まっていました。

一カ月の休暇で毎日の学校通い生活に戻るのは簡単なことではありませんよね。。

 

アイルランドでは2カ月の夏休みがあり、日本の子供たちよりも学校に戻るということに難しさを感じるのではないかと思います。

私だったらと考えると最初の1週間はきっと眠くてたまらないと思いますｗｗ

 

学校初日には娘のかばんにたくさんの物が詰め込まれており、とても重いことに気が付きました。

休みのたびに荷物を移動させる必要がないくらい十分なスペースを学校で確保するべきだと思います！

 

ほとんどの小学生が2つかばんをもって登校しています

この暑い中で小学生には多すぎる荷物だと思います。

何か手はないのでしょうか。。何か学校側が対応するべきです。

 

私が中学生くらいの時には、学校にロッカーがなかったので毎日必要な教科書などを持ち歩いていたことを思い出しました。

その頃は、自転車に取り付けるタイプのかばんがあったおかげで荷物を落としたりすることもなく過ごせていました。

 

全ての学校は生徒たちにロッカーを用意するべきでしょうか？

みなさんの意見はどうですか？？
