I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and enjoying the warm summer weather!

皆さん、素敵な1週間を過ごし、暖かい夏の陽気を楽しんでいますか。

This week, we’ve started handing out this year’s speech homework, and there’s been a great mix of excitement and nerves among the students. Many are now beginning the challenge of preparing their speeches, with the goal of being able to deliver them entirely from memory, using clear pronunciation and natural intonation.

今週、今年のスピーチ宿題を配布し始めました。生徒たちの間では、興奮と緊張が入り混じった様子が見られます。多くの生徒がスピーチの準備という挑戦に取り組み始めており、目標は完全に暗記して、正確な発音と自然なイントネーションで発表できるようになることです

Good luck to all our students as they begin this journey! We’ve seen a wide variety of fascinating topics, everything from AI and Legoland, to future dreams, sign language, and the countries around the world. It’s shaping up to be a truly diverse and engaging set of presentations!

この挑戦の旅が皆さんにとって素晴らしいものになるようにAIやレゴランド、未来の夢、手話、さらには世界の国々など、多彩で興味深いトピックが揃っていますね。本当に多様性に富んだ、引き込まれるようなプレゼンテーションになりそうです。楽しみですね。

I’m really looking forward to hearing each student’s speech evolve, from the early stages of remembering lines, to practising delivery, and finally refining and improving their presentations. It’s always inspiring to see how much progress everyone makes, and I’m excited to support you all along the way!
