The Rio Olympics　リオデジャネイロ・オリンピック

How are you today? I hope you’re enjoying your summer. Next week Hario will be closed for the Obon holidays. Have a good vacation and see you all in two weeks.

The Olympic Games start in Rio de Janiero, Brazil this weekend, starting with the opening ceremony on Saturday morning. It’s the topic of Alan’s phrase of the week video. Why not check it out?! I love sports and especially big events like the World Cup and the Olympic Games. You might remember the last games in 2012 were held in London. I thought it was a great showcase for my home country and the sport was gripping. I hope all the countries I have connections to, including Japan, the UK, Ireland and the USA, all do well and the games are a great event. I’ve never been to Brazil but it looks like a wonderful place and I hope I can visit it someday. There’s a big Brazilian community in Fuji and historically there’s been a lot of immigration between Japan and Brazil. A former student of Hario moved to Brazil a few years ago with her family. The Olympic games brings people together and reminds us of the links we all have between countries and people. I hope we can all celebrate the games together. I’m personally looking forward to watching the cycling. It’s one of my favourite sports and the UK has lots of medal chances.

お元気ですか？皆さん夏休みを楽しんでらっしゃいますか来週はHARIOはお盆の為、お休みとなります。良い休暇を過ごし、2週間後にまた会いましょう

今週末、土曜日の開会セレモニーを皮切りにブラジル、リオデジャネイロにてオリンピックが始まります。アランの今週の英語フレーズのトピックでもあります是非チェックしてみてください。私はスポーツが大好きです。特にオリンピックやワールドカップなのどの大きな大会が大好きです。前回のオリンピックはロンドンで行われていたのも記憶に新しいのではないでしょうかイギリスにとっても国の良さを見せることができ、観客も魅了されていました。

私と関係のある国々、例えば日本やイギリス、アイルランド、アメリカがいい結果がでる事、そしてこのオリンピック自体がいい試合になることを望みます私はブラジルには行った事がありませんが、とても良さそうな国なのでいつかは行ってみたいですね。富士にはブラジル人の方々が歴史上の関係から多くいらっしゃいます。以前HARIOの生徒さんだった方は数年前にブラジルに引っ越しました。このオリンピックが再び人々を1つにしてくれると思います。みんなでこのオリンピックを楽しむ事ができたらいいですね私は個人的にサイクリングの種目を楽しみにしていますサイクリングは私の好きなスポーツでもあり、イギリスはメダル獲得のチャンスが十分にあると思っています
