I hope you are well rested after the “Sea Day” holiday on Monday. I celebrated the ocean by having fish for dinner.  The biggest festival of the year in this city, Fuji Festival takes place next Sunday. It takes place on the fourth Sunday of July every year. It promises to be a fun day, with a parade, music, and fireworks in the evening. Almost every town in Japan has it’s own festival. I have heard that each town’s festival has it’s own special song, and the people dance to it in the parade. I’ve seen the fireworks before and it’s a spectacular end to the day.

I  recently visited Makaino farm. It’s a big ranch that is open to the public, where you can pet and feed many different farm animals. My daughter was happy to see the animals but she was too scared to touch any of them. She just wanted to jump on the trampoline most of the day. It’s an interesting farm, and the animals will always approach you if you have some food, so watch out!

Most of our students will begin their summer holidays this week or next week. They told me that they already have a lot of homework to do during the vacation, so they can’t rest as much as they want to.

皆さんこんにちは。

海の日は良く休めましたでしょうか？私は夕食に魚を食べることで海の日を祝いました。さてこの町で一番大きなお祭りと言えば富士祭りですね毎年7月の第4日曜日に開催されます。花火、音楽、絶対楽しい日になるのは間違いありません。日本ではどの地域でも土地土地のお祭りというものがありますね。そこではその土地ならではの歌もあり、それに合わせて踊りを踊るという事を聞いたことがあります。富士祭りの花火も見たことがありますが、最後はとても壮大できれいですよね

最近私はまかいの牧場に行ってきました。大きな牧場で一般公開されていますね。多くの動物に触れたり餌を与えることができます。私の娘は動物を見るのが好きですが、怖くて触れないようでした。それよりかそこにあったトランポリンで遊びたがっていました。とてもおもしろい牧場です。しかし食べ物をもっていると動物たちが近寄ってきますのでお気を付けください

来週からは夏期講習が始まります。生徒の皆さんは既に多くの宿題をもらったと話していました。もしかしたら思ったとおり休めないかもしれませんね。
