How are you doing? Today is July 7th, which in Japan is the day of the Star Festival or Tanabata. It’s the theme of Alan’s post yesterday and this week’s ‘Phrase of the Week’ video. Check them out! Did you wish for anything? I wished for …………..It’s a secret. (In England, it’s a tradition to keep a secret and not tell what you wished for.)
There are many things happening this month. Summer grammar classes started last weekend and will continue through next month. In a couple of weeks, we will have summer conversation classes, too. Students can have an order-made, one-to-one lesson at a highly reduced price. Many places have already gone but there are still some open spots. Please ask if you’re interested about either of those, please ask.
Our speech homework will start soon. Right now we are in the process of translating, editing, recording and assembling the homework packs. With about 120 unique speeches order made, it’s takes a lot of time and care. Last year, our students did really well with their speech homeworks, not only choosing interesting topics and having unique points of view about things, but also delivering them well with good pronunciation and presentation skills. I hope everyone can do a good job and enjoy the homework this year too.
Thanks for reading. It’s getting really hot, so take care outside.
