I hope you enjoyed Silver Week last week. I had a relaxing time and stayed in Fuji. I did some shopping, brought my daughter to the park, and chilled out for the week. On Sunday I took part in the local community sports day. It’s an event where different neighborhoods from around Fuji compete in many different sports. All ages work together in the team relay events. I represented Higashi in one event. I don’t know the exact name of the event, but in pairs we had to hold a beach ball with tennis rackets while running a relay race around the track. It was tricky and chaos broke loose whenever teams dropped their ball. Unfortunately, our team came last, but it was great fun nonetheless.
Have you been watching the Rugby World Cup? Congratulations to Japan for their stunning win over South Africa in their opening game last week. South Africa are one of the strongest teams in the World, and Japan put on a fantastic performance to create the biggest upset in Rugby World Cup history. Unfortunately Japan lost their next game against Scotland, but they have two more games to play in the group so there is still a chance to qualify for the quarter finals. Ireland are doing well so far, they have won both of their games with a high score.
Here at Hario things have gotten a little spooky! Have a look at our reception. There are scary spiders hanging from the ceiling! That means that Halloween is coming soon. Get your costume ready for the last week of October, we’ll have a fun and spooky week!
