How’s your week?

It’s Silver Week next week so I hope you have some time off and enjoy the holidays.

I live walking distance from Hario. It’s very near and convenient for me to get to work. Many students also live in this area. Some of my neighbours are Hario students. On the other hand, we also have many students who commute a long way. Our students live or go to school in Fuji but also Fujinomiya, Numazu, Mishima, Shizuoka and Shimizu. One family moved from Fuji to Kannami, 40kms away but chose to keep sending their children to Hario. I’m always thankful to the parents and grandparents who bring and pick up our students. Some of them drive a long way and I appreciate their effort. It means a lot that they choose Hario over other, local schools.

I was reminded about this because we got a phone call today from a PLS sister school in Mie. Recently, one of our students moved to Mie and his parents wanted to find another PLS school so we recommended them to this school, a little far but the only one in the prefecture. They have decided to join even though there is a one and a half hour drive each way to get there. Again, I appreciate the parents time and effort to commute such a long distance.

Sometimes, if something is important to you, it doesn’t matter how far away it is.

今週はいかがお過ごしですか来週はシルバーウィークでお休みの方々も多いと思います。楽しんで下さい

さて私は歩いてHARIOに通勤できる距離に住んでいます近くてとても便利です。HARIO の生徒さんの多くもこの地域に住んでいらっしゃいます。ご近所さんの生徒さんも何名かいます。一方で、遠方から通って頂いている生徒さんもいらっしゃいます富士市だけではなく富士宮市、沼津市、三島市、静岡市、清水区に住んでいる生徒さんも通っています。

あるご家族は富士市から函南町へ引っ越しをされました。40キロ以上も離れていますが大変ありがたいことにHARIOを続けて下さっていますいつも生徒の皆さんを送り迎えして頂いているご家族の方々、結構な距離を運転して来てくださる方々に大変感謝しております他にも英会話スクールがある中でこうしてHARIOを選んでくれているというのは大変ありがたい事です

実はこのように思ったのは、今日、三重にあるＰＬＳの姉妹校からお電話を頂いたからです。
最近、HARIOの生徒さんだったＨ君ご家族が三重に引っ越しをされました。Ｈ君のご両親はＰＬＳの姉妹校をお探しだった為、ご自宅からは少し遠くなってしまいますが三重県に1校だけという事でそちらの学校をご紹介させて頂きました。そして片道1時間半掛かってしまうにもかかわらず、そちらの学校に入会されたと、姉妹校から、連絡がありました。

改めてご両親の努力に感謝いたします
