Hello everyone,

I hope you had an enjoyable Obon week holiday. I had a fantastic time back in Ireland. It was a tiring journey getting there because I can’t sleep on flights. I always lose a full night of sleep whenever I travel to and from Ireland. Once I got home to my parent’s house I had a traditional Irish stew for dinner, and a full Irish breakfast the next morning. I had missed Irish breakfast so much that I had one almost every day of the holiday! I spent the rest of the week catching up with friends and family. I met my new nephew for the first time on Thursday. Domhnaill is my younger brother’s second son and he is only one month old now. They said he is a very hungry boy and growing fast. It reminded me of one year ago when my daughter was that age. I think babies are easier to take care of when they can’t walk around and get into trouble! On Saturday I attended my friend’s wedding in Wicklow. It’s about a 1 hour drive south from Dublin. It was great fun to have all of my friends together at the party. I had missed them all so much! There was dinner, followed by a band, followed by music and dancing until around 3am. I got up at 5am the next day to catch my flight to Japan so you can imagine how tired I was the next day. It was awesome to see everyone back home and I can’t wait until the next trip!

みなさん、こんにちは。

皆さんお盆休みはいかがでしたでしょうか私はアイルランドに戻り、いい時間を過ごすことができました。私は機内では寝ることが出来ないので長い飛行機の旅は大変疲れます

アイルランドについて、夕食にアイルランドの伝統的なシチューを、翌朝にはアイルランドの朝食を食べました。それまでアイルランドの料理が凄く恋しかったので、その後ほぼ毎日食べていました

ほとんどの時間は友人、家族と久々に顔を合わせていました。甥っ子とも初めて会ってきました。彼は私の弟の2番目の息子で、まだたったの生後1ヶ月です。ですが良くミルクを飲み、グングン成長している様です。1年前、私の娘がその歳だった頃を思い出しました

そして土曜日には友人の結婚式に出席しました。首都ダブリンから車で約1時間程のところでした。沢山の友人が一同に集まりました。彼らと会うのも久しぶりだったので、その時間はとても貴重で、楽しいものでした。

その結婚式では夜中3時頃まで歌やダンスと共に食事を楽しみましたしかし日本への飛行機に乗るために、5時には起きていました。とても疲れていたのは言うまでもありませんですが久しぶりにみんなに会えて最高でした。次に戻るのが待ち遠しいです
